Captain

Captain

Hey guys! You probably already know who I am (I’m kinda a big deal) but for those that don’t, I’m Captain! A 5 year old German Shepherd mix. I became insta-famous after this really crappy dude chained me to his truck and took me for a joy ride but thanks to this great community and these rescue peeps, I’ve healed up and am 100% ready to rock and roll into a new home! I considered taking my stardom to Hollywood and trying my hand at the big screen but I’m not as young as I used to be and feel my time has come to retire into a nice joint and get spoiled. First things first, I don’t like those cat things. But kiddos and pretty much all people and dogs are cool. Haven’t met one I didn’t like. Since I’m all healed up and got my all clear to run and play, I’ve spent a lot of time rolling and romping in the dirt with my foster sisters. It’s a rockin’ good time! Since I’m not a cat supporter, my foster mom makes me go in a kennel when she can’t take me with her. I don’t like the kennel. I deal for now because I love her and I know she wouldn’t make me if it wasn’t important but I could definitely do without in my forever home. I’m not a big furniture guy so just give me a comfy bed and maybe a chewy bone or 2 and I’m a happy guy. I know I am a big handsome stud and all you families are gonna be out there fighting over me so I gotta be a bit honest to narrow down the right fit for me. Given my history and the neglect and abuse I suffered from, I am a little possessive of my food. Sometimes I didn’t get to eat so I have a hard time understanding that my next meal is coming. My foster mom makes me eat out of a slow feeder since I forget how to chew when in the moment. I have been known to steal a taste here and there when the foster people are eating. The kiddos are especially easy to steal from so now I have to go outside or in another room when they eat. Can’t a guy have some fun or what?! My foster mom has been trying to teach me “place” and “leave it” and I try to listen but I’m like Garfield with his lasagna. Just gotta get me a taste! That’s all the bad I’ve got for you though! So, if you can handle a few guidelines and a few extra minutes a day continuing to help me learn, then you will get endless kisses and tail wags. A fabulous traveling partner. A cuddle buddy and a companion for life. Pretty sweet trade, right? Please fill out an application at http://www.tucsonscauseforcanines.org/adoption-application/
